(24043759)Job Number:24043759GENERAL SUMMARY:Reports directly to
the Region CEO with indirect accountability to the Division CFO.
Responsible for strategic oversight and operational effectiveness
of financial operations of the region including, but not limited
to, preparation and achievement of meaningful budgets for ongoing
operations and new strategic investments, ensuring operations are
conducted in compliance with all state and federal regulations,
overseeing financial operations for the region such as Accounting,
Finance & Decision Support. Serves as regional executive liaison
with Revenue Cycle, Utilization Review, Case Management, Supply
Chain, Managed Care, Corporate Responsibility, Information
Technology, Shared Services and other AdventHealth centralized
services and serves as a member of AH Senior Hospital Finance Group
and multiple other AH corporate committees. Coordinates and
facilitates work of the facility CFOs to optimize regional
financial operations and decision making. Contributes to the
divisional financial policies within latitude of AdventHealth
corporate-wide policies. Serves as Chairperson for the assigned
facility board finance committees in the region. Assists Regional
CEO with and advises facility CEOs on business developmental
activities, such as joint venture clinical programs, new campus
expansion and regional revenue maximization strategies.PRINCIPAL
DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the analysis, design, development and facilitation of
region-wide finance activities and strategically integrate best
practices into each facet of the following areas: Accounting,
Finance & Decision Support.
- Provide financial strategic oversight to the hospitals/entities
ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for areas directed to develop processes that
consistently ensure effective staffing, strong staff engagement and
appreciation, and appropriate systems for effective and supportive
management engagement with staff. Responsible for the talent
management of staff within areas of oversight with the expectation
to develop young leaders in the region.
- Assist the Region CEO and facility CEOs with business
developmental activities, such as joint venture clinical programs,
new campus expansion, regional revenue maximization strategies,
support and adherence to the regional and entities compliance
plans.
- Drive best practices throughout the region to achieve
successful outcomes in expense management and strategic revenue
growth including, but not limited to, development of processes and
tools to ensure compliance with labor standards, human resource
policies and effective use of premium labor, effective supply chain
management, well-vetted physician investment and capital
investment.
- Assist facility CEOs with achieving financial expectations by
providing education and senior-executive insight into causes of
financial outcomes.
- Facilitate organizational consensus and manage business
relationships with internal and external stakeholders through
increasing organizational knowledge on strategic and operational
levels.
- Manage the development and deployment of data to support
strategic budgeting and decision making throughout the region.
- Coordinate and oversee activities of facility CFOs to ensure
consistency of performance and experience of stakeholders.
- Oversee functions directed by centralized division services
such as Patient Access, Utilization Review, Case Management,
Patient Financial Services, HIM, Coding, IT, Supply Chain, Property
Management.
- Drive key performance metrics to maximize organization's
revenue and management of expense structure, while providing
superior customer satisfaction to internal and external
stakeholders.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

to changing conditions and the various details of the
position.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
suite.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or
accountingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Minimum of seven years as a healthcare CFO - Strongly
Preferred
- Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting
or related field
- 10 years in a senior financial management positionLICENSURE,
CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other healthcare
management certification
- Florida only: AFP - AHCA Finger Printing (AHCA: Agency for
Healthcare Administration)
